ASFS and Taylor KidsGiving projects focused on cleaning up local parks with the support of EcoAction Arlington. Families collected trash and learned about how to protect our environment.

ASFS KidsGiving hosted a Hygiene Kit donation drive for Comfort Cases, and 4th Graders worked together to put together 176 kits for children in foster care. The kids also decorated bookmarks for books donated by Comfort Cases.

Taylor Supports Aspire!
In February 2022, ASFS raised over $1,100 through a Read-a-thon and Book Bus event with Read Early and Daily (R.E.A.D.), enough to purchase 222 new books for babies and young children!

In February 2022, Taylor KidsGiving for hosting a book drive for Aspire! and collected over 400 good quality books that will be used for a spring book fair to allow students to build their own home libraries!

In January 2022, KidsGiving members at ASFS and Taylor assembled snack bags for families in local housing developments. Thanks to ASFS for donating 206, and to Taylor for donating 215 bags! Click here for ideas to try at home.

Arlington Science Focus School hosted a donation drive for the Animal Welfare League of Arlington in December 2021, created animal toys for shelter animals, and enjoyed a tour of AWLA!

Jamestown hosted a very successful holiday gift drive to support Virginia Hospital Center Pediatrics and Arlington families in need.

In November 2021, ASFS and Taylor collected clothing for Arlington students and worked together to sort the items for donation.

To kick off the 2021-22 school year, ASFS collected 482 lbs. of food, and Taylor collected over 900 lbs. for the Arlington Food Assistance Center.
